Nutrition Program (225-923-8000 ext. 202)

Congregate Meals Programs:

• Anyone age 60+ is invited to gather daily in convenient neighboorhood centers to socialize and enjoy a hot, fresh meal prepared daily.
  

Home Delivered Meals:

• Disabled, homebound or convelscent seniors age 60+ are eligible to recieve a hot meal delivered to their homes on a daily basis.

Purchased Meals:

• Individuals age 60+ who are temporarily unable to prepare their own meals may purchase meals which are home-delivered on a daily basis.

Wellness Programs (225-923-8000 ext. 245)

The EBRCOA sponsors numerous programs throughout the parish focusing on health and wellness - all in the hopes of providing a stimulating, healthy and active lifestyle for seniors.

Programs include:

• Monthly bus trips within Louisiana as well as annual trips out of state
• The Seniors Club at Cortana Mall - 1st Wednesday of every month; breakfast; guest speakers; bingo; birthday parties, prizes.
• "Walk Around Baton Rouge" encourages individuals to track miles walked (with EBRCOA-provided pedometers) with prizes awarded for most miles walked.

Platinum Sound Orchestra

The Platinum Sound Orchestra plays music from several genres and generations - including classical, jazz and even swing. Musicians regularly practice at the EBRCOA Auditorium - performing at numerous community events of various types, including luncheons, festivals and galas. This is a great opportunity for aspiring and retired musicians.

Trips (225-923-8000 ext. 245)

Regularly scheduled trips to areas of cultural significance (both state and country-wide) are offered throughout the year. Transportation is provided on comfortable luxury-liner buses.

Destinations include:

• Regional museums
• Resorts
• Casinos
• Popular restaurants
• Well-known establishments and stops on the not-so-beaten path
