BATON ROUGE - The Council on Aging hosted their 2nd annual Senior Skip Day designed to give senior citizens a day of fun.
The event was originally scheduled to be at the Baton Rouge fairgrounds, but the rainy day forecast kept that from happening. The council quickly took to action to move the event indoors at the Southern University mini dome.

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (4/17/2023) – The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging (EBRCOA) is thrilled to announce its second Senior Skip Day 2.0 and Healthcare Expo. Senior Skip Day 2.0 will be held on Thursday, April 27th from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the BREC Airline Highway Park (17200 Airline Hwy.)
The event is an opportunity for all seniors to “skip” a day at the senior center and come together to fellowship at Senior Skip Day 2.0 & Healthcare Expo instead. Senior Skip Day 2.0 and the Healthcare Expo are open to all seniors aged 60 and older who reside in East Baton Rouge Parish. There will be live musical performances by Keith Frank & The Soileau Zydeco Band, The Rusty Yates Band...
