EBRCOA COVID-19 Return to Work Plan

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (11/29/2020) – As Governor John Bel Edwards announced on November 24, 2020, there has been an aggressive surge in COVID-19 in our area and the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging has positioned its operations to return to Phase II. Phase II operations will consist of providing all staff with a “COVID-19 Return to Work Plan” which outlines that essential employees will return to the office beginning Monday, November 30th.

EBRCOA Closure Due to Increase in COVID-19 Cases

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (11/29/2020) – EBRCOA will temporarily close all offices and facilities at the close of business Tuesday, November 17th. We plan to reopen on Monday, November 30th. The closure is an act of safety and precaution to prevent COVID-19 exposure and spread. During the closure, we encourage seniors to review our virtual activities on website, YouTube page and Facebook page.

EBRCOA Provides Seniors Thanksgiving Dinners & Frozen Turkeys

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (11/11/2020) – The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging is hosting two (2) events to ensure the seniors of EBR Parish have a festive Thanksgiving and a great holiday meal! The purpose of these events are to combat senior hunger and provide the aging population of this parish the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful meal that many may not be privy to during this holiday season due to finances, health issues, or the current pandemic.
